About Me

Hello, my name is Earvin Ramos and I’m a Sound Designer, Composer, and Producer looking for audio work in the video game industry.

My alma mater is where I originally began to grow my career in game development, at beautiful Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. During my time there I focused on both my own music studies: theory, common practice, and performance; additionally, I also kept in contact with friends in the Computer Science department who focused on game development projects. Through this I got to experience my first introduction to game development. Working with an indie team of various disciplines, attending talks and game jams hosted by the development club, and shaping our creations as best we could.

After graduation, I was lucky enough to have these seeds of experience grow into full projects. One of our ideas which had originally stayed a student project blossomed into a full indie release. A project I had worked on titled “Hour1” had the chance to blossom into a full release titled “LightWalk.” I was invited back to update the old soundtrack I had made in university as well as create more tracks for expanded content. After a successful Steam Greenlight campaign we were officially on the platform.

Beyond this I’ve had the joy of expanding my experience in both independent development. I’ve brushed up on my coding and programming skills, and worked as a temp employee in Southern California for Blizzard in the QA department.

I’m very excited to begin a career in game development and the video game industry. Thank you for visiting my site, and taking a look at what I have to offer.
